Privacy Policy

Stanca is a personal expense-tracking product. It helps people record, organise and understand spending. Stanca is an expense-management tool. It is not a bank, accountant, financial adviser or investment adviser.

This policy covers (1) this marketing website and (2) the Stanca mobile app product described on this site. Website practices below are verified against the current website codebase. App practices describe how Stanca is designed to work; some app details should still be confirmed against the production mobile builds.

The Stanca website does not create Stanca app accounts and does not store your expenses.

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we may collect your name (optional) and email address to register interest and send early-access or product updates. Signups are submitted through Google Forms and stored in a linked Google Sheet. Confirmation and related emails are sent with our email provider (Resend).

Contact form. If you use Contact Us, we collect your name, email, optional subject and message so we can reply. Messages are emailed to support@stancaapp.com via Resend. You may also receive a short confirmation email.

Blog. Blog posts are published via Sanity CMS as editorial content. Reading the blog does not require an account on this website.

Technical hosting. Like most websites, request logs and similar technical data may be processed by our hosting provider (Vercel) to operate and secure the site.

This website does not use third-party advertising pixels or a separate analytics SDK in the current codebase.

Depending on the features you use in the Stanca app, information may include:

• account or profile details used to sign you in (for example via Google sign-in);
• expenses, amounts, dates, merchants, categories, notes and budgets you enter;
• receipt images or payment screenshots you choose to capture or select;
• optional sync to Google Drive and Google Sheets in accounts you control; and
• diagnostic or crash information used to improve reliability.

Receipt text extraction is designed to run on-device. Expense records are designed to live primarily on your device, with optional copies in your Google account when you enable sync.

App permissions such as camera or photo library should be requested when a feature needs them, and can be managed in your device settings.

Stanca does not sell your personal information and does not run third-party ads in the app.

Providers receive only what is reasonably needed for their role. Google services you connect in the app are also governed by Google's privacy policy.

Website waitlist and support messages are kept as needed to operate those features and respond to you, unless you ask us to remove them where we can.

App data generally remains available while you use Stanca. After an account-deletion request, personal information associated with the account should be deleted or anonymised where we control it, subject to temporary backup or security records where immediate removal is not practicable.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of certain personal information. Email support@stancaapp.com to make a request.

Stanca is not intended for children under 13 (or older where local law requires). If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will help address it.

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate for a consumer utility of this kind, including encrypted connections for website APIs and careful handling of credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as Stanca or our processing changes. The version and dates at the top of this page will be updated when we do. Material changes may also be called out on the site or in the app.
